Employee Survey Development

 

A valid assessment of employee opinion requires a systematic process which includes five major steps.

I. Planning involves putting together a project plan and timeline and discussing important deliverables and due dates up front. We work in partnership with your organization to conduct the employee survey within your timeframes and to meet your needs.

II. Survey Development involves putting together an appropriate set of survey items or questions for your employees. We may develop items based on qualitative analysis of your organization or pull from our extensive item database. Strategic Organizational Solutions has developed and validated index measures.

Getting the answers you need requires asking the right questions.  Our consultants will work with your team to clarify and target your specific organizational needs.

 

III. Administration occurs when the employee survey is conducted. Various methods are available including: state-of-the-art web technology, email and scan-able paper and pencil survey forms.

IV. Analysis & Results includes quantitative analysis at the item and index level. We also offer a full program in which employee survey results are linked to customer loyalty results which can then linked to bottom line business results via powerful structural equation modeling. Results reports are typically prepared for the organization overall as well as for specific divisions or work groups.

V. Follow-up may include action planning and implementation and a survey re-administration in one to two year’s time. Strategic Organizational Solutions often partners with organizations or major divisions within organizations to facilitate understanding of the results and root cause analysis, issue prioritization and action planning.
